The rest of the gears are fine, any one know what's up with why my bike is
grinding into second gear?

Second gear? There is more than one gear on these scooters?

No, really, by grinding do you mean a big clunk or the rattling of teeth clattering each other? My second gear shift has always been the clunkiest but if done with authority it goes in well. Also, have you tried the pre-loading pull up with your toe before you touch the clutch to shift? It greatly improves the transition. If it still grinds though something in my hind brain from earlier posters says shifting fork bendage. I haven't fooled with them before and I hope I am wrong on that guess.

It does a major "clunk" getting into first gear (always has, figured that to be normal).

This is more of a grinding sounding, binding feeling, and takes longer to shift than it
used to..and it doesn't matter if the engine is cold or warm.

Haven't tried the pre-loading maneuver.....

Bike is still under warranty for just a few more thousand miles if it's something major,
not sure if they would cover the shifting fork bendage?

Sounds like the selector forks to me. Might have worn away due to improper clutch adjustment. (The turbo hyper drive will also need replacing).

Just on the longshot that you missed it, that was just typical cruel Canadian humor eh?

If it's still under warranty, I'd say let them sort it out... Maybe its nothing, but maybe its $$$

going to go take it out for a spin, if it's still acting up in it goes
before the odometer clicks over the 36,000 mark...

thank goodness for warranties, unless you're the sucker that
finds out the cgaes head gasket is leaking 3,000 miles over warranty
Now you know why I ride instead :-D
