I have looked in the FAQ and browsed around the site but cannot find.

I need a mount for a radar detector. Most all I have seen are handlebar mounted. I would like something (I think) more up front over the speedometer area if possible so it will be more in my eye and possibly out of the weather while riding.

I would like to get some pics of what everyone has done for mounts, either handlebar or other, to give myself some ideas as to which way to go. For now I am just going to install an old Cobra I have laying on the shelf in the garage since I bought a Valentine a few years ago. The Valentine will stay in my truck for now.

Any help ,pics, mounting suggestions, which mount to get and what bracket length would be helpful.

FYI, tried out my old cobra too and paseed by many a LEO (City, County and State) without a PEEP! Oh yeah I had my ear plugs in, nary more than a couple of bars indicated, don't know if they were using newer equipment.......
Try them both on some nice days going by all your local LEO types (Sorry RR!)
