Hi All...

i'll post a brief ride report about HOW this happened after i resolve the more urgent issue.

So, i took a spill today - my first! (was on a dirt/gravel road with the occasional mudded area). I hit one of the patches of mud (was not going very fast - perhaps that was the prob) and lost traction on the back. DOWN i went (on my left side)!

I was in full gear and landed in mud, so.... no biggie (or so i thought at the time).

Anyway, my left arm is "weird" (a little discomfort in the shoulder) and i do NOT have "full range of motion" without hearing a POP sound accompanied by some pain...

by NO MEANS do i think it is fully dislocated (as i suspect i would NOT be able to be typing right now - ~1 hr post fall)....

However, now that i'm home, i'm feeling a little tingly in my left hand and wonder if i should pony up and get myself some xrays...

?

As the YES song says:
It can happen to you
It can happen to me
It can happen to everyone eventually

thanks in advance...

OH, beyond this shoulder deal, i'm no worse for the wear (bike is ok too)

- prime

What is with the (lame) name calling?

"obammacare?" really?

What's the current system called? Nixon fixuns? Nixon and Kaiser "invented" for-profit healthcare.
Pre-Existing condition is a made up thing invented by health insurance companies in order to protect those profits.

My only problem with "socialized" health care is that the administration is not going far enough. I think health insurance ought to be be made illegal and put the insurance companies out of business tomorrow. If the Republicans were really for a "free market" then we'd have a pay as you go health system like Mexico has.

So you can get Bumper-to-bumper on your car, or yourself? Who do I see about warranty claims - God's not answering my calls.

Seriously though...just saw this Bill. Get thee to the ER, stat!

WTF Bill, do not put it off, get it checked out as soon as possible.
If you were going 50 or 60 you would not have even noticed the mud. When in doubt, give it gas.

You're right, and my actual point was to STFU with the political name-calling. My error in participating and furthering the INAPPROPRIATE discussion.

hi all...

i'm typing with r-hand now...

thanks for the responses - i decided to head right over to the ER after the mrs got home...

they took some xrays..... nothing was broken (thank goodness!) and they think i may have torn my rotator cuff, but thought that i should be in more pain....

anyway, they gave me a sling and have suggested that i ice it and take i.b. they also want me to see an othro...

i hope to get there tomorrow, but may need to first get a referal...

:(

we'll see... thanks!!!

could have been worse (bike could have gotten banged up too!)

;)

and yes dano, had i been doing 70!, i would have skipped right over it!!
