Posting up for Terrible Tom, whose X-Country is DOA in WV enroute to the Green Mountain Rally.

I only spoke briefly with Tom but his bike died and would not re-fire unless jumped from another bike. As soon as the cables were removed, his bike would quit.

The quick question is: can anyone provide a spec. for a replacement aftermarket battery? I know my F-single batteries but am ignorant on the unit in the X bikes.

Ike #647 and Tom are settled in for the night in some one-horse town and plan on hunting up a replacement battery when the stores re-open in the morning. If anyone has a model number that will fit, let me know and I'll pass it onto them. Thanks!

Over on advrider some have replaced them with Yuasa YTZ10S.

Now the hard part is going to be finding one somewhere in the vicinity of Martinsburg WV.

And just to consolidate the info I received from The Stig, the stock battery is identified as a YTZ10S-BS. Besides the Yuasa, an Odyssey PC310 also has been used as a replacement.
