Corbin Saddle

Has anyone tried the Corbin saddle yet? All I want to know is whether it resolves the numb butt problem that plagues the stock seat on long rides:

I have the Corbin on my Xcountry and I must say it is the best money I've ever spent. I was on the verge of selling my bike after suffering with the stock seat as well as a custom Sargent. Even if you have to sell ur own blood to pay for it....do it!

Thanks texascat.....it is nice to ride at work however sometimes it takes away from personal riding. I love my bike but theres really nowhere to ride here off road and all my buddies have cruisers so I'm thinking of selling it. In any case, did it make a huge difference in log rides? I go 250km weekly t0 and from work and I really need something a little more behind friendly than the stock seat...

Huge difference in long rides. Stock would hurt after only 20 minutes. Oh by the way I'll probably sell the seat with the bike since I dont have the stock seat anymore. Wanna know what really makes a difference in long rides? Highway pegs on some crash bars,,,changes the whole weight distribution on ur butt, therefore increasing circulation. Just a tip.. see ya

Is it officially up for sale yet? I know I am brand new to the board, but this is exactly the bike I was considering, only a 2010 version. Yours is great, it already has everything I would have had to add.....

I am about to start advertising it on Craigslist, and I may put it on Ebay. I think I'll ask about 7500 cause it is nearly perfect. Yes you can buy a new one for 7500 but not with the 1500 worth of stuff I put on it. Did I mention it gets 78 mpg on the highway with the Parabellum windscreen? Anyway let me know. thanks, Bobby

That seat looks sooooooo comfy. Where did you get it ? Do you expierience any "funny" wind with the Parrabellum ?

Good luck selling it. I have the stock seat to swap with you if that would help it move

Parabellum screen is great..I now wear a open face helmet. I ordered the seat from Corbin and never want the stock seat back...thanks.

Just got mine last week. It is almost winter here in Ottawa but still had a chance to try it on a quick Saturday ride. First impression: very hard (harder than stock) but at the same time seems more confortable that the stock due to the nicely defined ridge that separates the passenger vs rider sections.
The Corbin styling is not as refined as the stock (mine is a 2009 Euro style saddle, the first to enter Canada in May 2008) but I can live with.
Also the Corbin only attaches in two points (lock and middle by using a bar) and not 3 as the stock but that does not seem to affect riding in any way.
I just hope that the cell foam thing will settle and become more confortable in time. Unfortunately I will have to wait for spring for trying a long ride to tell the difference.
