I know some of you ride these bikes as they are meant to be ridden, especially you Dakar owners, so lets see some pics.. I need some inspiration.. This is probably not the bike I should be learning my off road skills on but it's the only bike I have for this purpose. And I love that's it's a do anything warrior of a bike. 300 miles on the highway followed by some single track, no problem..

So lets see some photos.. The kind that make me want to strip all the extra stuff off my bike and throw on the knobbiest DOT rated tires I can find....

After a day of singletracking in the Sam Houston National Forest. What a workout.

Bath time!

Actually, it wasn't as deep as it looked... I still walk it first though!

I rode this trail again recently, and this stream was a lot deeper, but still passable. During winter, this area (Old Dunstan Road, Central Otago, N.Z.) is pretty much frozen solid... and closed to the public.. :-(

F is that u or Tom in the picture?
I know it can't be TOms bike as it's too pretty and heavy!
Toms is much lighter and more suitable to heavy duty off road use and carnage!

I should have clarified. . .

The bike was on the road, my body was off :)

Cheers,

That was Tom surveying the single track we forced our way through. He was riding a DR-350 on that trip.
